Saiid Zarrabian, President of Protein Production Division and Senior Vice President

 

Mr. Zarrabian brings over 35 years of operational experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, informatics, software & instrumentation/hardware industries. He was most recently the President and Chief Executive Officer of Cyntellect, Inc., an instrumentation firm providing researchers with cell processing and visualization platforms. Prior to Cyntellect, he has served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Senomyx, a public biotechnology company focused on the discovery and commercialization of new flavors ingredients, as Chief Operating Officer of publicly held Pharmacopeia, a leading provider of combinatorial chemistry discovery services and compounds, and President and Chief Operating of Molecular Simulations, the leading provider of discovery and development software tools for pharmaceutical and chemical industries. He has performed executive consulting services for a variety of companies including BioBlocks, eMolecules, Invitrogen, and SciTegic, where he served as executive consultant and acting Chief Operating Officer until the company was acquired by Accelrys. Mr. Zarrabian currently serves on the board of biopharmaceutical company La Jolla Pharmaceuticals and Exemplar Pharma, LLC.
